Financial Policy & Insurance
Private Insurance
We accept dental insurance from most insurance companies and will assist you in all the processing and paperwork necessary. Remember that most dental insurance covers the initial exam and x-rays at no or minimal out-of-pocket cost to you!
We are proud to be an in-network provider for these prestigious companies:
These insurance companies allow us to see patients from birth through college, with usual limitations being an age limit for fluoride application and sealants that will apply with some companies and policies. Insurance coverage varies and even in-network policies may have deductibles that apply to services provided by Pediatric Dental Center of Georgia.
As of November 19, 2021, PDC is no longer in-network with Delta Dental. Click here for information about that change.
State Insurance
We are proud to be an in-network provider for these state insurance companies:
We are proud to be an in-network provider for both Amerigroup and Peachstate serving both Medicaid and PeachCare. Our contracts with both insurance companies allow us to see patients from birth to 6 years old. We are also able to see foster children with Amerigroup until they are 18 years old. We are NOT an in-network provider for Caresource Insurance.
Financial Policy
As a courtesy, we will file the patient’s insurance claim. Please understand that we do not have a contract with the insurance company, only the insured does. Therefore it is the insured’s responsibility to correct any problem of payment with the insurance company. We are not responsible for what benefits are paid on a claim. We can only assist you in estimating your portion of the cost of treatment; therefore, we do not guarantee what your insurance will do with each claim. We also cannot be responsible for any errors in filing your claim. Our staff is happy to assist you with your insurance questions.
If a patient does not have dental insurance or is not eligible for dental insurance, then payment in full is required on the day of service. If a patient is retro-activated with their insurance then our office will reimburse the insured once our office has been paid by the insurance company.
When patients are scheduled for operative appointments (i.e. sealants, fillings, nitrous oxide, etc.) we will estimate the patient’s financial portion and require the estimated amount to be paid on the day of service. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards (Visa or MasterCard).
You are responsible for any balance on your account after 30 days, whether insurance has paid or not. If you have not paid your balance within 60 days, a finance charge of 1.5% will be added to your account each month until paid (up to 18% annually). If you have not paid your balance within 90 days, we will be forced to send the account to a collection agency at which time a service charge may be added to the account balance.
